Instructions Needed...
Sorry i know iv been a pain but im absolutely useless in depthness of the HL engine.

First problem: I keep making up LAN games by going to the beta main menu on steam and selecting 'Create Game'.
I have made sure that 'LAN Game' was UNTICKED. Yet still, no one is able to join my server and i dont even think its online. When i make bots on the server they wander as usual, but when i press ESCAPE to go to the menu's, the entire game Pauses. I check the list of online games to see if my game is in the list, and its not.

I have dragged files into my nsp folder, those files in the Dedicated server beta3 patch. Nothing has changed in the menus (from what i see).

I need step by step instructions on how i can setup an ONLINE server, and play it on the same machine.

I know iv been a pain in the **** asking lotsa questions. But respect me as a nOOb, it should be a privalage to you that i want to learn.

And my bonus question: Where is the AMX files that support Beta3 Steam, cos when i add the files i know to metamod it just crashes when i start, not to mention it never allows me to use voice_loopback 1 ever again and wipes out my custom spray
Is it possible someone (who uses his/her working amx mod) could send me a folder with all the working files in amx mod for beta3-4a so that its already working for me?
Im at snakewildlife@hotmail.com

Cant help you with the 2nd part but for the first part:

You are making a listen server by selecting Create Game, this means when ever you press Escape(or load console) the game will stop from anyone on the server.
Next you need to type 'sv_lan 0' in console, this will auth with the Steam Servers and show you up on the server list.
Another problem you need to check is that your not behind a router/Firewall , if you are behind a router check ur manual on how to open ports and allow 27015 to access your machine. If your behind a firewall make sure that Half Life has the option to be used as a Server turned on.
The server ip will be , yourIP:27015 , find your IP here
To check the server is up and running either add it to your Favorites list on steam, or use a 3rd party program like Half Life Server Watch

    Edit:
Port 27015 on the Router/Firewall needs TCP and UDP access.

I dont have a firewall, and im not sure if i have a router. My connection is NTL Broadband through a USB External Modem at 600k. Can recieve up to 90kbps and can send up to 15kbps.

Im sure that can support a ns game of no more than 14 players right? 10 probably being rcbots.

I think TCP and UDP access is automatically alright for me.
    I have HLSW ^_^ \\//,, Peace.
