Now that I got my 6800GT all working and everything I figured I'd check out the Far Cry demo (Demo 2 to be specific) to see what everybody was ranting and raving about.
However I ran into severe graphical corruption, like this:

<img src='http://members.cox.net/doomaniac/FarCry0002.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
Are these sorts of things fixed in the full version? Cause the gameplay kinda seemed neat and I thought I might pick it up if I ever have $30 I can't find a DVD to buy...

Though, I have an ATI card (9500pro) so I'm not sure if it would be the same case with your 6800gt..
That and those errors look a lot different from the ones I experianced in the dmo..

I've got a 9800pro and FarCry runs very well, really really pretty scenery and all the rest. No problems here!

Farcry didnt run on my 9800Pro, but the demos ran fine, now that im on my new PC with an x800Pro Farcry = godness, or at least till Doom 3 hits the UK next week.
I had them with my Radeon 9000 and apparently there's
certain drivers that fixes the problems and the others seems
to cause them.
Put all the detail levels down to "Low" and try again.
(You can probably leave the water detail level at "High" though.)
I think the FarCry 1.1 patch fixes these issues but obviously
the demo remains flawed.
Ordered Doomeh instead
Or maybe it's just a demo problem. Borrow the full version from a friend or something.
I heard a patch is going to allow quicksaving, any word on that? I've kind of lost my enthusiasm for farcry until I can...
And coil, where are those skinmaps!??
Please Do Not show us more reasons why nvidia is a junky company. Youve shouldve gone ATI
Yes it does.
Seriously though, what the hell is up with that? Looks kinda trippy...
