I would like to thank Flayra for mentioning this this and I just though i'd make a quick post as well. As mentioned above this is a 16 team double elimination tournament featuring almost all the best teams in the US of today. We have the support of amped for this as well as #nspug. We are still trying to figure out how many spectators we will get, right now we have about 400+ slots available for HLTV if it turns out to be too little we will go get us some more. I would just like to take the time to say that even if you hate clanners because they have been **** or if you dont approve of competititve gaming please come watch, nothing is expected from you as far as having to play competitive or anything, its just a simple chance for the community to come together for this event, im sure everyone will enjoy it. If you have any questions dont hesitate, im available almost all day, one quick thing that I must have mistyped when I was emailing flayra was our sponsor, its actually #mav-hosting ( sorry charlie ! ). We will also have a broadcast thanks to the #nspug people. The first match Is this friday between OSS and YCSP, hopefully everyone will be able to attend and nothing will come up, since it is the first match and we want to kick off the tournament the right way, many people will be there as well as the broadcast,scorebot,etc. Please visit our website for final times ( All info will be there at least 6 hours to matches so you wont have to get HLTV at the last minute )

    ins wont be there, we got ppl going away, and the schedules are hectic. blagh

    if it was spaned out to 2 matches a week, we would do it.

    i can tell you all, there is a 95%chance it will end with exigent and cri in the finals.

    What is HLTV? It's pretty sad, I have been playing Half-Life for over 3 years and NS for a little over year and I have no clue what it is.

    HLTV is a program that allows peopple to connect to a server for the purpose of spectating only, you can see the whole match ( both teams ) only you cannot talk to players only other people in HLTV and players cannot see what you say. Its a program so that if you have a 14 slot server instead of having just 2 specs you can have 100+ by putting and HLTV which only takes up 1 spec spot on the server, I dont know if that made it any clearer :X

    At 3:30PST, we will release HLTV + Shoutcast info on our IRC channel @ #nsinvitational. 5 minutes before match time, we will be announcing HLTV + Shoutcast info on our website, and on the ns.org forums. Is this a cheap attempt at getting more idlers? Yes. Go die. Also, we will be having a super secret surprise for anyone listening to the shoutcast, which unfortunately, can only handle 100 people. The sooner you get on it, the better your chances of catching this super secret surprise. As mentioned on the website, the surprise has nothing to do with singing, rapping, or other forms of vocal abuse on the air. We're not even sure if this surprise will happen, just yet. Nonetheless, you should be there anyways. Just do it.

    exi will win unless they still are not playing and what not. They seem to only play on match days now witch alow alot of errors to happen, so if that keeps up i could see some sorta upset

    Every clan in existence right now would get blown away by the play 6 months ago except maybe exi.

    And exi doesn't even have to play anything but matchs to go undefeated.

    Want to see a good match go watch season 1 and to a lesser extent 2. Hopefully Terror and Blackmarket can fill a gap in 3 and cri or OSS might step it up but right now the play isn't worth watching.

    animosity vs warmnfuzzy was a great match. DoM vs sphere was a great match also. Both went to OT. I don't know why you say the matches won't be fun to watch.

    The matches are fun to watch if there is impressive play in it. However, the majority of the teams right now are out of practice or just underexperienced. A handful of them are okay though - and any player would be able to learn something from any of the matches.
