Help!

I hvn't buy half life, but i hv bought cs:cz, is it not possible for me to play ns without half life but hv cs:cz, cs?

I realy don't know.

Every person I have tried to help with this never responds back.....

basic deal:
I will post the install guide at the end of this, however I will also give you some possible modifications to try.

Ok, first up:
See if you can download and install Half Life (I don't know if you got a licence for that or not with you buying of CS:CZ)
You can simply do this by opening Steam and going to the games list and trying to run HL, if it asks for a CS Key try putting in the CS:CZ one.

If that dosn't work:
Open up your steam\steamApps\your@email\ folder and see what folders are in there, if you have one for condition zero then try and move all of the copies of nsp there (in order as you install em, so run beta 1, move the nsp fodler, then run beta 4 and move the folder, then same with 4a)

2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam (just booting up the training mission will do).

3) Download these 3 files:
ns_install_v3_b1.exe
ns_v30_b4_patch.exe
ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe

4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1 (ns_install_v3_b1.exe) (This should auto install to steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp, if it does not, move the NSP folder there).

5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (ns_v30_b4_patch.exe) (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\ do NOT include the NSP).

6) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe) (See * at bottom).

7) Search your Hard drive(s) for folders named nsp.

8) If you have more than one you messed up.  Goto Step 3.


If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.

If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.

*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers.  Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life

<b> Slightly More Advanced Steps</b>

2) Deleate all folders named that.

3) Start from step 3 in my guide.

4) Make sure you are using the properly named files for each step, the file name is listed with the step.

5) Make sure you point each file at the place listed with the step
5a) The first one should auto install with no choice of destination
5b) The second one goes to: Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life
5c) The 3rd should probably go to Steam\SteamApps\your@email\

6) After each install step in my guide (steps 4, 5 and 6) search your hard drive for nsp
6a) If you find only one folder, and it is located at Steam\SteamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp then you are good to go.
6b) If you have only one nsp but it is some where else, move it to that location.
6c) If you have 2 nsp folders, then move the one that is not in that location, over writing all files when prompted.
6d) Each time you move an nsp folder search your hard drive again for nsp to double check.
