I actually like the one you called "crap" better. Its got better composition and feels less cartoonish. Details on the second one are better though.

I took think the "crap" one, with a bit more shading/attention to the head could look better as well.

off topic but delta: your avatar doesn't do justice to the face that you've smeared blue over. Consider using this eh?

*Munches on pears* I tried to do some more shading but im just no good at cell shading ><.
As for the avatar, I have a picture of me ill be resizing one of these days soooo ill just leave it as is because im to damn lazy to go into the control panel.
