Even if he does mean "script" as a config file how does that mean it's bad.. A script can be something simple like binding a key to do something different every time you do it.
To answer the question if you mean config scripting, I haven't really looked into it, but after look at my doom 3 config-file it look's like it uses the bind command. So just open up your doom 3 config and look at the commands in there.
In the odd chance this is a request for in-level scripting, I have:

Yikes. Did Nem come along and steal everyone's sense of humor while I was in Ohio?
EDIT: Here's a forum I found that seems devoted to scripts in Doom3 <a href='http://www.doom3world.org/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=4' target='_blank'>Doom 3 World</a>
EDIT2: It appears UltimateGeko posted the exact same link I did. Only he did it first. I'll just go look for Nem's Big Bag of Senses of Humor<b>TM</b>

So no need for a jump script, and there's no other script (AFAIK, or at least in my experience,) used in bhopping.
Christ man, just look at all the normal commands for stuff that is already bound to your keys and figure out what you want to do and then do it. I doubt there is or will ever be a guide for config scripting because it's just too easy. It works just like Half-Life for the most part....actually the cvars and commands were almost exactly the same as HL in the leaked beta. Also, I hope you're doing this for multiplayer reasons because I just don't see the need in singleplayer.
For the most part, d3's scripting is the same as q3a's. Do a search for quake3 configs and all your questions will be answered.
There is, however, a limitation they seem to have placed on scripting. It's described <a href='http://ucguides.savagehelp.com/Doom3/scripts.htm' target='_blank'>here</a>.

I am looking for a "last inv" command to bind to a key (half-life style) - I mistakenly bound "previous inventory" to my key but that just goes down the line of inventory items like the mouse wheel does.
What file do I edit and what would I put in? Any help out there??!

I'm looking to set up a sequence of client commands to be executed in a certain order; the common definition of "scripting" around here.
Can anybody help me out? I haven't been able to find anything elsewhere.
