the concept artist cant tell you how to model it. nor do you have to stick strictly to it. obviously that's up to you, but it's in your hands now, you may do what you wish with it, for instance, have the stock rest on the barrel if you'd wish.

I think this is the better of the few models for this concept floating around, although I think it could use a re smoothshading, since there a few errors floating around the barrel region, it looks much more suitable for use
2. The handle wont be shown much in game, can be skinned for the short moments of viewing in perhaps reload animation.
3. It aint easy to do ventholes with Milkshape...
4. Havent done any smoothing groups

well i started helping meph do a few things to see how i could make it look, and i smoothed out most of the boxiness, and added in a kinda ejection port, i didnt really make a port since it would be on the right side and out of view, but you get the idea.

bashh... it's sort of my concept, and i dont think it should be tampered with too much. I agree that the stock should be lengthened to rest on the barrel, but i don't think it needs vents. I think the ejection port should be on the left side. I KNOW it's not like that on real guns, but it's more fun to see models with them on the left, isn't it? i think so.

anyways, it's nice, good model, good job.
but u've missed out the detail on the handle which is kinda shame cos it gives the gun a cool look. not a bad job though.
