    How do I get this to work?

    Its a server side mod, so unless you run your own server (which im assuming you dont) you dont need to worry about it.

    Its a plugin. The file with tons of writting is called a .sma file, the writting is CODE used in axmmod. Thats the mod that will let you run the jet/heavy plugin. Sooo.........

    First you need a server. Then you need to install amxmod. Then you need the .sma file, make the changes 'settings' you want in the code and compile it using amxmod. That will change it into a .amx file.

    The .amx file will run in your install of amxmod on your server.

    I'm having trouble compiling SMA files AMX files.
    Yes I do have AMX installed. I downloaded the above level 10 AMX plugin (it is a SMA.) And I put it in the examples folder, ran compile and checked the compiled folder. My SMA file was not compiled. I tried puting in the source folder too, still no luck, can someone please tell what I am doing wrong?

    By the way, how do I get the plugin to work once I have compiled it?
    (What do I write in AMX's plugins.ini file.)

    running sc mod.sma in the examples folder doesn't automatically populate the compile folder. At least it doesn't for me. I always have to manually move the resulting .amx file into the directory with the rest of my plugins. I pretty much ignore the compile folder.

    ./sc mod.sma
    ls mod.amx
    mv mod.amx ../plugins

    sounds like you need to spend some time reading the dox.

    Actually Rue, could you do me a big favor and PM me what your plugins.ini looks like?

    Thanks again! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    The image below shows you the folder that you will find it in. It also shows you what you need to add to the .ini file.

    (Sorry about the poor image quality, used Paint to save it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    It does not actually matter whereabouts you put it in the file, as long as it is not after a comment.

    Are you sure you have the actual plugin file in the amx\plugins directory? Check filename matches the entry in plugins.ini too.

    HTH

    edit: Rue, are there differences on AMX folder layouts? I have all my settings files in addons\amx\. Minor point; probably just different versions or setups, but still, may be of use.

    I'm sorry, Rue I tried typing extralevels.amx just how u did in ur plugins.ini, I tried using your extralevels.amx file Rue, and I tried the DeadClans. Still no luck. Maybe it's because i'm running a LAN server? If its not asking too much, could you post your amx folder were you have the extralevels plugin working?

    P.S. Just thought of something, maybe it is my AMX mod version whats yours?

    Thanks! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I checked the AMX on my server and your right the plugin file is in the plugin folder, that one i showed in the pic was downloaded from the AMX site.

    Ok iv attached the AMX folder from my server so this works. <a href='http://www.rclelland.com/files/amx.rar' target='_blank'>Click Here To Download It</a>

    If it doesnt then you havent set up Meta Mod correctly. When you load your server check console and see if there is a bit telling you about meta mod. Iv run it on a lan a few times before so that works.

    Rue The file I downloaded is RAR file? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Oh, yes I am using metamod, the latest version, and I have like 7 plugins woking for that. When I start the game and type meta list in the console it says I have 10 running so thats ok. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    But I meant for you to sent your amx folder from your cpu that has extra levels working. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    never mind that last post. I downloaded winrar and I got your folder, I noticed its setup is way different than mine was. Anyways you have alot more dll files in your dll folder. I'm not sure wich one to use, so I'll try all the windows one in metamod untill it works. THANKS! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    How should my plugins.ini look? for metamod?

    thanks again!
