Dumb Nvidia Geforce Question
<div class="IPBDescription">Custom game settings?</div>
Random topic, I come from using a Voodoo card with lots of fancy plugins that allowed me to tweak my settings in minute detail on a game by game basis.
I've just dled the latest Nvidia drivers, with that Nview package and what not.........
So.. how do I do custom game settings?? For example, Starcraft, which DEMANDS low resolution and 256 colour, but won't work if you right click the shortcut and change the compatibility mode.
What I need is a way to customise the settings through Nvidia so that clicking the shortcut actually DOES put the game into the appropriate mode.
Anyone got a tutorial or walkthrough for how I can do this? Specifics please, I'm new to Nvidia tweaks and don't want to bugger everything up.
Cheers if anyone can help... before the topic sinks without trace...

Open up the display properties, go to "Settings" then "Advanced." There should be a tab that has the name of your graphics card. Mine says "GeForce FX5900XT"
Then in the menu on the left there should be a part that says "Performance and Quality Settings"
You can click the "add" button and then make a profile for that specific .exe file of your choice. This doesn't address how to make it 256colors and the like, but it does cover AA, Aniso, etc.
Odd thing is, sometimes if you alt tab, the palette error fixes itself. Almost like something is overriding it each time. Pain in the backside.
I'll play around, thanks for the help. If anyone DOES know a way to do it, please let me know!
