HiveMind is metamod, but it's NS-play is... poor. It's not too bad on combat though.

WhichBot are by far the best alien bot imo; I thought they were metamod too actually. :S Although you can play them without metamod by changing the liblist.gam file in NS.
(change gamedll "ns.dll" to gamedll "../rcbot/dlls/rcbot.dll")

RCBots are good rines too. In the testing I've read they beat HiveMind in CO. (Mind you, hive mind have some obsession of gorging at level 2, so it's not too hard to see why they lost.)

Hmmm. Come to think of it, I cant think of a bot that *IS* AMX. :S

These two bots, Whichbot and Rcbot are good and are both metamod.

Whichbot is good for aliens (the best)

Rcbot is alien and Marines(Marines don't go comm.)

You can use Rcbot and Whichbot together
