Cannot run the game...

I only have intalled Counter-Strike retail US.
I cannot run the game cause it aborts loading and return to windows evey time I try to join a server.

maybe it only works with original Half-Life?
I have no idea actually but you should try

1) Reinstalling it, often works with any problem with HL/CS
2) Installing original HL, or <span style='color:red'>***NUKED*** - No warez please.</span>
