At least where I live, it's given to each new patron of the bank on a little cardboard card. If you ever have to deposit or withdraw money, you have to use the routing number to do it.
Before I do, lets say I go to Bank A, now does each individual account have an original routing number or does everyone have the same routing number but different account number

At my bank checkings and savings accounts are combined, you can get savings account checks, any you get intrest on money you have in checking accounts.
