Ebay Bid Question

I placed a my DAoC account for sale Auguest 6. I got a bid on the 8th. Then today...on the 12th. I got bids from 1 guy. Making the price from $40 to $54. He just registered today too.

<a href='http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=8123272273' target='_blank'>http://offer.ebay.com/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...item=8123272273</a>

Now my question is, does this guy (the one that spam bid) HAVE to pay the money if no one else bids? Would'nt it be illegal for him to bid then not pay the money?

Im kinda confused and worried.

Looks like you got another bid, so moot point.

He has to pay you, the bid is a contract so he has to pay.

No buyer on eBay has to pay if they don't want to. Obviously, if they're the high bidder then they should cough up, but the very worst a non-paying bidder can get is a warning (three warnings and they're banned) and some negative feedback.

People still sell MMORPG accounts on E-Bay... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> My god, nothing ever changes does it...

Just ignore the spammer and worry about the amount the real bidders post. Just report the spammer to e-bay and for the real bidder, sell it to them for their max bid before/after/during the spammer.
