Without a dedicated PR person, continuing communications between the developers (who if they spent the time to post here regularly would get nothing done code-wise) and the general public is difficult.
However, I'm hoping that this is the beginning of the end regarding any communication lapses.

Ok, I am going to clarify this completly and totally.
Flayra IS NOT LEAVING NS. Flayra is leaving his position as active programmer and developer for NS. However, he still has the final say on pretty much everything. He is going to remain behind the scenes for the permanent forseeable future, and voogru and E-th33f will be doing all the programming and will work on development issues. If you need someone new to worship, I suggest looking up to these two people.
Also, please do not believe ANYONE who says "I heard flayra is moving to X engine!" because that is either a rumor or a lie. Flayra has not announced to anyone any official plans for NS2, or if it even exists. It is currently "up in the air". Do not ask questions about it, as literally no one knows except flayra himself.
NS will only die if you people ALLOW it to die. We need the community behind NS now more then ever since flayra is taking a backseat. Realistically, there is NO mod that constantly makes new updates forever - so please have a realisic view towards the development of NS.

Gawwwwdd the general forum cracks me up. People will talk about dead projects, while daily a free to all bugtracker is updated by multiple devs, ticking off solved bugs and new features. Undetered by the news of a B5 release REALLY soon, they claim its going to be bugged forever.

Guys, believe me, the developement has not stopped on NS.
Every time I report a bug (believe me, I do it alot...), within one or two days that bug is acknowledged and added to the bug tracker. Even faster it is fixed. So the developement has not stopped, in reality it's going really fast.
