<div class="IPBDescription">HelpMe</div> I followed a friends' instructions to install NS, and then i installed steam afterwards. Why does it ask for a CD key for free software and were do i get one?

    ns is free

    Half Life is not

    go buy a copy of HL for $20

    and yes, you do need HL, as NS is a MODIFICATION of HL

    NS is free, but NS is a mod that runs off the half-life engine which is not free. half-life is like <a href='http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00001KUII/qid=1092411303/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/002-8323713-0849626?v=glance&s=software&n=507846' target='_blank'>$15</a>
