So, I have a old HDD that I want to ghost onto a brand new empty HDD.

Last time I did this, it ghosted over fine, but wouldnt boot and I edned up having to reinstall windows on top of itself. Is there any special steps I need to take to make sure an exact ghosting over will work fine as is?
