This is the third map I've made for NS, but the previous two have been NS and I've never bothered sharing them around.

I'm still happy to change bits on it if I've made mistakes, or if people point out bugs or badly made sections, so if any of you have the time to download it and give me feedback that'd be brilliant.

It has a slightly interesting twist - the MS is initially very dark, making it hard to kill skulks. However, they have ample time to leave the MS before the aliens arrive. There is though, a weldable inside MS, which restores the lighting.

    omg...why never share before? this looks really nice...hard to tell what it is like in game (I haven't downloaded yet) - so I'm guessing the pics are a little washed out ...it looks good tho...interesting architecture..good use of textures (mostly - little grey tho)... well done on your first "public" release! good to see you've finally come out of the "non-**** mapping related" closet..

    off topic, i think its edited out as ppl use it as an insult

    On topic the first 3 pics look good with the lighting but the other just seem really washed out and white

    Looks really good. My only suggestion would be to randomly add a few small, squarish, colored texture lights around each of those areas. Nothing too fancy just enough to gain some lighting and shadow contrast.

    Otherwise, keep up the good work.

    Yes, lighting seems kind of bland, but who am I to complain? That map looks like it kicks ****. Good stuff!

    Look pretty good, maybe get some better lighting and in pic 3 I dont really like the floor texture with the black dots, it just doesnt seem to go with the room

    Since the others already comented on the texture use and lighting I'm taking a different step:

    Apart from some r_speeds problems, going over the 700w-poly sometimes even 750w-poly. And clipping architecture, where the skulk has some trouble moving along a wall or ceiling due to a light which clips the player. Its an overall very nice map. Keep woking on it, hope to see more of it... Btw I love the flickering lights <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Is it the same room in first and last screen shot? Cause it looks like it is, but the lighting is different in them. The red lighting is awesome, but don't overuse it.

    Oh.. I read everything, but somehow I just didn't remember that when posting. I like the lighting in all the other pictures except in the 4th and 5th one. It's so bright it makes it look boring.     I have changed many of the things that people have fed back info for, changed a lot of lighting levels, changed all the lights so that they no longer clip aliens, added masses of trims, and redesigned the platform in the alien hive.

    It's better, but it still looks a bit washed out with the base lighting. Some quality lighting in those halls could really bring it all together.
