<div class="IPBDescription">Server spec.</div> I was offerd a deal about a NS server.

I have the higher priced choise which is on a Dual Xeon 3.06 GHz, 2 GB of RAM machine.

The lower priced machine's spec I'll get by tommrow I hope.

What I ask, is what are the minimum requirments for a 16 player NS server to run lag free.

Sky.

Like I said to another potential admin, nearly any modern computer will work as a dedicated server. Just as a point of reference, my system tends to be on the lower end of dedicated servers these days. I run my server on a AMD Athlon 1900+ with 512MB RAM and have very little trouble.

In a majority of cases where people complain of lag it is mainly due to a lack of upstream bandwidth or a home broadband router not able to handle all the routing needed for a game server. If you have that obstacle licked, you should have no major problems.
