<div class="IPBDescription">Won't boot and I don't know why.</div> OK, so today I invited my friend over to help me put together my PC. Everything went together like a glove, but there is this one problem. It won'tr boot. And we can't figure out why, thats the worst part of it all. We've tried it all; checking power connections, checking RAM, AGP and PCI connections, checking the video card, checing the CPU and flashing the BIOS. Nothing has worked thus far. What we think is that there is a compatibility issue between the mobo and the CPU since the mobo supports 400/533MHz FSB and the CPU is 800MHz FSB. We also think that I may have a bum video card or even a bum CPU. We don't know. Any help from you techies would be greatly appreciated.

What the? how did I misspell the word that much?
OMG yes! Thats exactly what is happening...or not.
A. a massively defunct video card
B. a working video card that isn't plugged into the mobo right
C. a borked monitor
try with an older vid card for confirmation.

All good sugestions. However I'm pretty sure my monitor works and also my video card is plugged in to the mobo right. I'm thinking its a defunct vid card.
Turn off old computer, pull it out, put in new computer, attempt to boot, pull out of new computer, replug into old computer, relay results to waiting forumites.
