Ns Problem

This happens alot, the game will freeze up and I have to press ctrl alt del. When I run the game the cpu temp gets to around 53c, even at 640x480 res. 34c idle
Im using the ati 4.7 drivers. Anyone know if there is a fix?

Amd athlon 64 3400+
1gb 3200
radeon 9600 pro
k78 deluxe -mobo

windows xp pro
open gl

    Well, you can still CTRL+ALT+DEL, so its probably not a hardware problem.

    To be perfectly honest, the easiest way to fix these things is to try and reinstall everything. Try updating all your drivers, then reinstall Steam and NS. Take it another step and reinstall windows if you're so daring.

    Try to close down as many things as possible. Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, open up the Task Manager, and click on Processes. Find out what those things are, either by searching for the .exe and/or googling it. If you dont need it running, kill it.

    I tested with some other games like battlefield vietnam, didn't have any problems. I reinstalled steam and some drivers, but still get same problem. I guess I need to reinstall windows.
