<div class="IPBDescription">this never happened before...</div>Well one problem I've ran into after reinstalling WinXP that I never had before (and don't have at work either) is I get the below error message whenever I use the Start Menu->Favorites links to open a page. Anyone know how to fix this?

Seems like WinDoze is not properly recognizing the URL in the Favorites link. The error is probably because it tries to run the URL as a file (like using the 'Run' command in the Start Menu), but it can't find it.

Never come across this situation before... is Firefox set as the default browser?

Fixed it. Windows is opening it with Firefox, but it thinks its opening it with IE. Find the file type "(None)" and description "URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol" and edit the open action. Disable DDE. Should work... if it doesn't, try also making .url files open with <!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->"{path to firefox}\firefox.exe" -url "%1"<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->

Edit: turns out there's also a thing on the mozilla forums about this, and they have the same solution... bleh
