Making Doors Go Left And Right

How do ya do it?
Ok, I just tried making a door that went up, down, left AND right (it's a 4 part tri-angle side door) and I can't get the left OR right sides to go to the left or right...

the place you choose their x axis direction doesnt' seem to work... what am I not seeing? I set it to 0, 90, 180, and 270 (Left, Up, Right Down respectively) and only the 90 and 270's (up/down) work...

I know I'm going to feel really stupid when I hear the answer to this. Luckily it'll be after a full nights sleep... g'night all!

What editor? If its in WC/Hammer, then you just need to move the yaw to whatever you want (0,90,180,270 for the same angles in the top down view of wc/hammer)

edit : or just use the "angles x x x" for pitch yaw roll (i think its that order, anyway, yaw is the middle one, so use 0 90 0 for a door that slides up in the top down view. or -90 0 0 for a door that moves down in normal hl view (90 0 0 for up)

What you need to do is to make 4 separate func_door entities, give each of them same name and different yaw. Use the top-down view to see what the yaw has to be set. Just edit the yaw setting and that should work.

There is a drop down box under the black "yaw circle". You can choose up or down from there. Also, 90 0 0 seems to be down and -90 0 0 up.

Wait... so where VHE says that those other 2 boxes don't work... it's outdated?

    OOokay... it didn't freaking work...

I've tried all the combos I could think of... could someone post a screenshot of what it should look like? Cause I don't want to have to have all up/down movement doors

There are 3 dials on the side. The top one is what you use.
