Timing Out

I'm having a problem, whenever i try and join a server it almost gets to being done, and then it says Sorry you have been disconnected (Server Timed out).

But whenever i try and start up my ownd server, just to see if its somethign with my computer, it works fine. It loads up and i can run around as a marine or alien and do everything.

so whats goin on? (BTW heres my system specs)

Intell Celeron CPU
1200MHz
1.20 GHz
128 MB of RAM

i installed all of what was needed and everything.

Any ideas?

Make sure that the servers are near you, it happens somtimes when you try to connect to a server to far away and you take to long to load.

Actually its more your ram. You need a ram upgrade to 512 MB a the very minimum.
