prob because u use firefox i have the same prob but i bookmarked the forum index so now i can browse the forums whit a status board

No idea why, why dont you just type in natural-selection.org/forums? Its a lot easier then going to ns.org, clicking on forums, then clicking I Agree...

That's what i do, but i like to check the frontpage for updates.
It's just something that annoys me, it's even simple to fix View > status bar.

But hey, if no one else has this problem then it's bed time for me.

tools > options > web features > click advanced button next to javascript > uncheck "hide the status bar"

If you come to forums using ns.org -> forums -> I agree, forums are opened in a popup without statusbar. Just use <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums' target='_blank'>http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums</a> and you're done.

I would be rather strange if it -didn't- happen, given that the javascript which is used to open a new page specifically tells the browser to hide the bar...
this is not a 'problem', this is by design.

*sigh* nevermind.
