My sister goes to <a href='http://www.occidental.edu/' target='_blank'>Occidental</a> college and is studying foregin languages. I'm not sure how good their computer courses are, but she was extremely happy while she was there.

Try all the UC Campuses, they are all really good, some just have better reputations then others and some are just party schools. I am going to UC Irvine right now and its great down here. Great learning environment, great classes, great social life, etc. I heard Riverside is nice also, Santa Barbara is known as the party school.

Are you looking to go for a 4-year degree or just a couple classes?

The art institute of Callifornia at LA has a good game development course.

    <a href='http://www.aila.artinstitutes.edu/programdegrees.asp?pid=9&dtid=3&display=program' target='_blank'>http://www.aila.artinstitutes.edu/programd...display=program</a>

I may go there, or more likley stay home and go to the Art Institute of Colorado at Denver and do Media Arts and Animation (3D and 2D animation and 3d modelling) Possably taking some Programing course at a community college.

I beleive the LA location has that course too. It's an option, so yea...

I'm looking into getting a 4 year degree, but considering just taking classes as well. All the UC schools I mentioned have Computer Science degrees. Currently I am a Information and Computer Science major because thats all they had when I started college a year ago but they recently added plain ol' Computer Science and Computer Science and Engineering. All of the degrees include programming languages. In fact the first year alone at UCI I took 3 courses of Java(they will teach you Java first because its a lot easier to learn than C++) and they also gave me an Intel x86 Assembly course. That was just the first year too.

Of course your still going to have to take alot of Breath Requirements so you won't have A TON of Programming until the 3rd year of college(unless you finish your breath early). But once you hit that 3rd year, you should be able to pick what courses you want.

It's also going to depend on your resources and acceptance - Occidental is VERY expensive, as is Art Institute, and both are quite selective, as I recall.

My sister went to Occidental, and she loved it there - I attend a UC and I love it here too. ^^
