Steam Wont Even Start

OK,,

Have been playing steam for ages....... CS, HL, DOD and all the rest.....

Have install NS 3 beta 1.... then beta 4...... then beta 4a.

Now Steam wont start at all....

I get update screen for few seconds then get Login screen, type in Login details and says cant conect to steam.......

I thought i might be typing in login password incorrectly so tried to retreive steam login details..... and says my account doesnt exist <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->??

I better not have to re-install Steam .. cause if i do im going to be **** !

According to <a href='http://steampowered.com/status/status.html' target='_blank'>http://steampowered.com/status/status.html</a>, it's not down, but it certainly is exhibbiting signs of some serious network problems. DDOS possibly?

I can't login anyway.

OK,

Sorted bug out......

Steam being down was a problem but not the whole problem......

But one other Question..

Natural Selection has no Icon in the Steam "Play Games" menu...

How do i get it to work......

it should be under "3rd party games" with no icon,
