Well I doubt its valves fault, probably more people attacking it, the cs source preload went really well up till now, everyone was downloading and there was still plenty of spare capacity in the system.

I just logged out, and in again. It seems to be back up again, and if you check steampowered.com, it looks like the got it back up. So there shouldn't be any problems.

And I guess that CS:S is part of the problem.

I'm almost sure its because of CS:S. I'll admit myelf, first thing I did this morning is walk in here and start steam. "Is it ready, is it ready?!" is running through my mind. I've always loved physics systems in games- I remember grenade launching Master Chief around in halo all the time(man that was some bad physics), playing with UT2k3's system(and excelled in Red Orchestra- nothin like me the sniper falling out that window and with that telltale crack of "Yep, he's dead Jim.". Even in DX:IW, I would pick up bodies and just toss them into everything. And when I say everything, believe me- everything.

This for me is gonna be a playground. I just wish it was like DOOM 3 and the level editor was included in the game....("editor" in console would make me splurge myself).

But these outages also could actually be something that is a result of CS:S. Maybe hundreds and hundreds of folks are buying CZ and d/ling that, which is really hurting them. Or it could be the usual DDOS attacks. Or it could even just be routy serverowners. Damn them(I <3 yuuuu LB, Shockwave, and Bry even though I've never been on your server).
