<div class="IPBDescription">Disturbingly easy...</div>Okay, so I had some extra cash from my birthday last week and there aren't any DVDs I really wanted to grab, so I decided that for the sake of the two HL2 mods I'm doing that it would be beneficial for me to get a head start in playing w/ the Source engine. So naturally, the only way to do this right now is to buy CS:CZ. So that's what I did.
Since I couldn't bear the shame of being caught by anyone I might know in the store w/ the box in my hand, I decided I would also give Steam's online purchasing system a try. And also that way there's no physical evidence whatsoever of what will prove to be a fiscally irresponsible choice later on.
I must say, its scary how easy purchasing something through Steam is. Very quick and suprisingly painless. My only concern is I still dunno if I really wanna trust Valve's encryption over SSL...
And by the time I'm done w/ this post (after reading OT first), CZ and CS:S are already precached...
If only the rest of Steam could work so well. :P
Only downside is I actually don't have a CD-Key. Meaning I can't sell my 'copy' of CZ to some poor nub in a month or so when I no longer need it. Hell I can't even GIVE it to someone else...

Let it go already <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
*runs off to buy cs:cz in a store*
*gets shot by friends that saw him*
...*cries*
I never buy software that comes without a cd, or something you might call a "cd-key" <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Craptastic, but easy system which saves the distributor alot of money.
Even if you had a CD key, though, Steam wouldn't let whoever you sell it to register. And you could give your Steam account away (I did, I had 3, because I own Half-Life and two copies of Gunman Chronicles [in other news, by dad has a bad memory :X])
I have five copies of HL - I lost one and found it again a long time later after buying a replacement, my brother used one for online gaming so I had to get another, and I got another two in compilations. Beat that. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I also have a copy of Gunman, but the less said about that "game" the better, really.
It's also better than the CZ: Deleted Scenes between the driveable tank and the customizable guns
CZ has a nice bot and set of detail textures, but it's not really worth $40 :X
Haha, it's unhealthy to think of a game in that manner.
I mean hell, I have the CD for C&C Sole Survivor sitting around here somewhere...
It's a means to an end <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
You completed deleted scenes? You poor soul...
CZ rocks.
CZ:DS sucks.

So did I... God help me.
Yeah, I don't know why I trust VALVe either, I mean, delaying Half-Life for all that time? And then releasing it, making it all completely worth it, and blowing away every gamer? Not to mention, spawning many, many fantastic mods that are still played years after the game's release?
Jesus, people, they only delayed HL^2, like they delayed Half-Life. Its not like you need to stop trusting them.
I mean, if they delayed the game, and then Gabe Newell came to your house and used you has his sock-puppet of love, then you have a reason not to trust them.
... all i need now is a pic of teh dewmeh <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
