Error Message

when I play ns at times I drop from the server. I check the console and it says "error message 57 not found on client" ( that 's close to it). Can anyone give me some information on this or how to resolve it?

Do you use a router. And if so, did you just update its firmware recently?

Sorry nope, I have a router but it's not in use. these error messages have started in the last couple days and are getting to be frequent.

do you use CD?
HAve you tried lots of different servers?

If you use CD turn it off

if you havn't tried other servers, do so.

I'm not using cheating death and it happens on different servers.

It looks to be a steam error. I think you should do a search at www.steampowered.com

your right it is a steam error just thought other NS players might have had the same problem and found a cure. I searched the steam forums, lots of people with similar problems but no solutions. The exact error message is:
Host_Error: UserMsg: Not Present on Client 57

It appears to be a bug in Steam. Also has turned up in other games.
