Then what is technology, if not the child of supreme intelligence? Do humans not have a genetic benefit of intelligence, that allowed some caveman thousands of years ago to hit various rocks together until sparks were made, and to examine the uses of such sparks? We do have a genetic benefit; we may not be directly stronger or faster, but we have the technology that allows us to be.

Dolphins torture fish with sonic pulses, and bully other members of their own species.
Whales play volleyball with seals.
Cats intentionally wound prey in order to train their young, and will catch/release prey as hunt practice. An observer would consider this torture.
Also, plants respond to pain stimuli. GG double standards.

edit: for some reason I can only think of Penguin vs Scientist deathmatches now.
Animals don't kill for fun or sports. Now here, Im not saying that peta is really being super effective here but I still think plain torture and cruelty towards animals is wrong, not matter how you put it. Treating life as if it didn't mean anything is wrong whether we're talking about human life or animal life. They, too feel if they're being hit and thrown at with objects. I also don't understand how blatantly some of you just say "Meh, f*** other species, WE the hairless apes rule the world for sure" that's just the wrong attitude right there.. It's all about solidarity and respect of life.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
As noble as that sounds, it's not true to the very least.
We humans <b>DO</b> rule the world. All the help and organisations are just mercy, not help. In the end we shall simply exhaust it all and only have super controlled farms, which is something we have almost already archieved. How many pigs do you think live in the wild? Even god, if you beleive in god, said that we humans shall rule the earth, and if you dont beleive in god, then beleive that someone 2000 years ago, when industrial farms weren't even fiction, thought of themselves superior, and a big part of the world beleived them.
If humanity has even the most remote chance of making a profit or use of someone/something, someone, simply will do it.
I know I'm sounding like an angsty pessimist, but I'm also human. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And your right with what you said.
We rule over them for a reason- were more intelligent, and for most, stronger, and for most, faster. Were based better all around than them, even if we aren't as good at certain things as them. And either way, survival of the fittest. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
But we're strong and rule the world because of our technology. We have nothing genetic that makes us stronger than most of the other animals. Without technology, we wouldnt be as high as we are now.
I can't imagine why they thought they would convert punk rock kids, of all people, with their idiotic method of brainwashing. I watched their booth for a short while and saw, at least 5 times, kids walking up and mentioning how much they like eating meat. I even saw a kid waltz up to them snacking on a roast chicken breast.
While they might not have deserved that, they were idiotic to come to a place like Warped. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
"If God didn't intend for us to eat animals for food, then why are they made out of meat?"
Supporting Coranado is the same as supporting Bin Laden.

Wouldn't they 'attempt' cannibalism then? Not that they'd stand a chance of success, but still... people aren't animals! They're worse!

Good times.
BTW, I was t lollapalooza for Jurassic 5, that's it.
Anyway, they were lecturing people about being murderers, so I got Turky and walked up and started saying I supported them, chewing with my mouth open and talking at the same time. Then they got mad and asked why I was eating Turky, and I said I was eating Turky flaverd tofu on a stick <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Giving pigs drugs is not only ok, it's GOOD.
Also, did anyone else find it ironic that "Moopheus" was wearing a black leather coat?

Bwuahaha, that's hilarious.
I remember at Warped 2000 in Denver when El Hefe from NOFX was hit in the head with a flying turkey leg. That was awesome. (but not as awesome as the infamous Slow-FX show from Council Bluffs 2002 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
it was pleather <_< >_>
Very few people realise that Hitler himself was a vegetarian. Not a militant vegan, but he still didnt eat meat......
