Hate to say it but its already been posted, and a few months ago at that.

But still people were on holiday and deserve to know.

Doesn't run on my comp for some inexplicable reason. Never could find an answer other than reinstalling over and over again. Which I did about 10 times before giving up.

If you have an ATI card, that might be the problem. GC was twitchy with ATI cards.

Ground Controll is just boring, and the dropships are so useless. I mean when you start a mission you have to call the dropship anyway, why not automate this

Ground Control is a great experience, but i have to say i prefer the Total War series (Shogun and Medieval) over GC. They arent free (yet) but are well worth their 5$-10$.

In the later missions you usually have multiple dropzones to choose from.

But they aren't free! Plus, you've got Rome: Total War coming soon which will be so coole very game before it will look horrible in comparison, so you'll feel that you wasted the $5-10.

RTW will surely be a winner but i fell that it will be like the saga of Heroes of Might of Magic: each of the Heroes saga is enjoyable (i personnaly prefer Heroes 2 over all others). Shogun and Medieval are incredibily different from each other both in tactics and strategy, even if they share the same graphic engine.

If Sierra keeps up the level of AWESOME OWNAGE it's been keeping lately, (releasing the old games free), they might release one or both of those. I myself bought GCII only because they released GC.

+10 points to Sierra.

And then there was the Tribes thing, so

+20 points Sierra.

I made a thread about it here in off-topic some time ago. Even though it was completely free (except for shipping and handling) to Ground Control owners, it can no longer be "purchased" because Sierra's online store no longer exists. Therefore I had no moral qualms about acquiring it through procedures more commonly used to pirate games illegally. If Sierra was fine with giving out copies to the whole world before, I see no reason why it'd be different now.

Because of a slight imballance, GC2 is often reduced to "apc rushes"
but other then that it roxors my boxors.

You can zoooooooooooooom in.
waaaaaaaaaaaay in.

in enough to actually see the basic infantry's individual armor peices.

veeeeery impressive.
