i don't think hitbox bug would be fixed in the next version... it's not only in ns it touched the half-life engine it self...(i think) so it takes time... besides server owners have just to put a reserved empty slot in their server and there u go no more hitbox bug
so...i wouldn't waist my time trying to fix it... they already spent a lot of time trying to track it down

the PSHB is fixed, however things like the crouching fade are being fixed in b5 i think[I]
But NS related hitbox bugs including the fade crouch and what not shall be fixed in the next version.
most if not all other hitbox bugs that are ns-specific will be fixed in b5.
