<div class="IPBDescription">canisters of joy!</div> Ok, our beloved friend Chrono has just demonstrated more of his improved abilities and modelled this pretty nade in about 15 minutes, the duration of which I was conversating with him, and I think it might make a good hand grenade replacement... who agrees?

I can take care of animation and compilation no prob, but I will need some talented texture artist to make this the seksiest can on the face of the earth? Any one willing to make this worth my effort in making new nade animations?

No the model is not UVW mapped yet, but that is only because I want to see if there is an interest in the community first, I think the model is pretty darn seksy and deserves to be tossed at skulks and onos alike, but what really counts is how many of you can we get to want it?

    keep at it, and just a tip, you should always stretch your textures out past the edge of the UVW map so that it doesn't have "edges" or little black pixels on the .mdl when it gets compiled, it helps about misalignments <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    just keep at it, you'll get it

    Meh, about 30 seconds of work. Just a few overlays, some dodging and burning, a few filters and such. I need to work on the lighting, and make it not look like stone D:. I probably won't continue though heh.

    It does look great actually, you should continue on that.

    But really, isnt there WAY too many nades that look like that one? Everywhere?

    NS is an escape from CS, and that nade has too much CS over it, but you should continue, for the sake of everyone who likes it, and CS

    UVW map works perfectly for me, dunno why you'd have any issues Del... and I don't know what you mean by a "real mesh" because this is a true UVW mapping... it's hard to get any more "real" than that <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    id say with a mdl there should be no problems in skinning because they can just import in hlmv suprised to see soo much intrest

    mephmage there are 2 types of basic nades round ones and cylinder ones i made a cylinder one you dont like it go make your own kind of nade

    Take the model
    Get the bit that wraps around the main cylinder and just flip it horizontally...

    Meh, I'm surprised to see no one has complained about it being backwards lol... that was my mistake of coarse, because I didn't really test the UVW map to a length extent, but every one seems to be doing ok regardless, and as long as they are happy, I'm fine with it too...

    as in a mesh that works with 3ds max's Textporter plugin (the main body and side of the handle do not apear)

    del thats because they are backwards they need to be mirrored over in the mesh to fix it

    Using photoshop like hat for the first time, yes. Its quite confusing at first, but i'm getting the hang of it, can someone just slap it on the model to see what i need to improve on?

    suggestion in skinning... if u see seomthingt that needs to be changed dont say to urslef bah im gonna do it later... do it now beacuse when u get to it youll forget about it or will feel just too lazy to do it...
