So apparently, some missions (or the entire game) has got a timer.

On a side note... it really confuses me that people go looking for this stuff. Do you really *want* to find out everything about the game before you play? I mean, think about your first time through Half-Life. There were some really memorable surprises: the first marine you run into, the first encounter with the assassins (when the barney gets shot mid-sentence), the beginning of Forget About Freeman... personally, I have no interest in reading the chapter titles of HL2 (and I didn't). I want to be surprised when I finally play through it for the first time. HL2 is going to be another memorable SP experience... I think people are so used to knowing everything about a multiplayer game that they've forgotten that part of the appeal of a SP game is learning as you go along.
I mean, imagine if you knew about the original BFG. Or the gauss or gluon guns in HL. Or the Gargantua, or Gonarch. The surprise value of the original encounter would be lost forever.
That's a good one. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(For non-native english speakers, this might be a bit confusing. "In a pickle" is a saying, meaning more or less "in trouble".)
But yeah, why do you people with those gcf explorers go looking for HL2 stuff anyway?

Either that, or a side-chapter.
I don't know, I think it'll just be a location in or around C17 that serves a similar purpose as Black Mesa but in an Eastern European context. Black Mesa was wiped out by a nuclear blast 10 years prior to HL2, after all.
