I'm Tired Of Norton Anti-virus
<div class="IPBDescription">Grrr</div> I've used Norton Anti Virus 2002 for more than a year now and it hasn't done sh*t! I get viruses like crazy, and when I scan infected files, it doesn't even recognize them as viruses.
Now...What anti-virus products are the best? I've used Trend Micros free online scan and that always seems to catch everything. My mobo came with PC-cillin (trend micros product), but has anyone actually tried it? Is it any good? If it wasn't for zone alarm, my computer would probably be a big pile of **** by now.

Ps. Norton (or anything for that matter) will only be good if it is constantly updated.
Also, I don't know if this is a virus or not but ever since this morning after my mom was on the computer, whenever I ctrl-alt-delete the window opens up and just disappears after about 1 second.
I'm scanning right now with Trend Micro so we'll see if it's a virus, but has anyone had a problem similar to this?
THEN, he tells me my c: is 86% fragmented, MY ARSE!! i run speed disk and its like, SWEET DEAL WE DEFRAGED YOUR COMP NOW ITS 12% FRAGMENTED!! but then over in nortons little thingy dee that monitors my comp hes all, NEG 85% FRAGMENTED RUN SPEED DISK OR DIIIIEEEEE!!!!
I WANNA KILL THAT GUY
if it's not a virus, then it's spyware screwing with you. some of the nastier spywares dont want you poking around the task manager to kill them. try <a href="http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html">Spybot S&D</a> and <a href="http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/">Ad-Aware</a>
Go to Start> Run, type in "gpedit.msc" and hit enter.
Go to User Configuration> Administrative Templates> System> Ctrl+Alt+Delete Options
Right click "Remove Task Manager", hit "Properties" and then set it to "Disabled".
That should be it. (Assuming you have XP Professional, that should work.)
If you don't, or if that doesn't work, go to Start> Run and paste this:
<!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
I don't even use an installed Virus scanner. I just use Housecall's free online scanner every once in awhile. I don't like my precious system resources being wasted by that stuff.
