On to my account of First Impressions Of v1.0 ...
Installed NS. Double-clicked desktop icon. Couldn't find games for $hit. Asked question in RR's chat, got quick answer. Simple fix, but a b1tch of an "out-of-box" experience. Make sure that gets fixed up in the next release.
First game I joined almost at the end. Aliens making last desperate rush. Evolve to Onos and crush a few marines before the turrets take me down. Team 1 wins. Next map.
Run around as a Skulk. Try to play NS like CS or another FPS. Get repeatedly and brutally 0wn3d. Swear like a drunken sailor.
Realize that FPS tactics aren't working. Switch to "Sneaky B@stard" mode. Crawl up wall and onto ceiling above door. Watch as three marines named "Breakfast" "Lunch" and "Dinner" walk through without bothering to clear the area first. Enjoy three servings of tasty TSA-approved Snack In A Tin©.

Laugh maniacally. Dispel all shreds of typical FPS gaming from mind and proceed to build structures and evolve like crazy. Later on, would destroy entire Marine mini-base singlehandedly as a Fade - without BileBomb.
Advice to Alien players currently at the "swearing" stage - drop the FPS tactics, they don't work. Be a sneaky SOB. Be cheap. Be a "loser" and do "stupid" things like popping out to hit turrets and then waiting while you regenerate/recharge.
