Yesterday I drove to a nearby town to visit a friend. The town is surrounded by tall hills and mountains, and you can have a very pleasant hike down any of the numerous trails there. Anyway, we were climbing one trail and enjoying the good weather when I saw what looked like a silver box.
When I approached, I saw it was a digital camera! It's a 3.3 mpixel powershot S20! A few marks on it, but otherwise fine.
It was raining today, so we were really lucky to get there when we did. When we got home, I saw it had a 300 mb hard drive inside!
That gives this thing a price tag of around 600 bucks! I pity the poor fool who dropped it...
Luckily my friend had a similar sort of camera, so we hooked it up to his PC and got all the photos off it (And I kept the camera, he already has a good one)
Anyway, just wanted to share. A few really nice shots in here, the prior owner had a really good eye for photography.
Enjoy

The Blair Witch!
Yes, it's from Something Awful. If you actually bothered to read through the original thread, you would see that they were now trying to convince other forums of this, as a sort of running joke.
I can't be bothered trying to PM people to edit out their posts now.
Thank you for ruining it version91x.
but since this is just a pile of photoshopped pictures from the SA forums...
In either case, +1 for me, I was the first to call up on it at approximately.. 4 minutes after the thread was first posted. In with a link and everything. [But i edited it out to give Inf a chance]
edit: Inf, not CWAG
If anyone ruined it, it was you.
Original thread:
<a href='http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1194390' target='_blank'>http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthrea...hreadid=1194390</a>
And why bother editing it out now version91x? If you didn't post it, someone else will 5min later claiming I stole it... =/
But still, those are some pretty nice photographs. Took me a few looks to notice the weird stuff in them.
Maybe I should stop over examining that stuff.
1.) Please refer to <a href='http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1194390' target='_blank'>this thread</a> on the Something Awful forums.
2.) Read past page 1.
3.) Read all of the posts on this page.
You will see that after the initial 'WTH IS THAT IN THE TREES' style posts, that the original poster posted a link to a <a href='http://img19.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img19&image=BIGPICTURE.jpg' target='_blank'>larger scale photo</a> of <a href='http://img42.exs.cx/img42/1548/pshot05.jpg' target='_blank'>one of the original pictures.</a> The cat was then out of the bag and for several pages much back slapping ensued for a very well executed prank.
In the latter half of the thread people started to post the original thread onto other forums to try and trick them in a similar fashion.
I then posted it here in the spirit of good fun to see how many of the NS users I could get.
Then eediot linked to the original SA thread in like 4min, but was kind enough to edit it out after a quick PM so the joke could ensue once more.
Finally version91x linked to it, and I couldn't be arsed PMing people anymore to not link to it.
Now rather than point fingers at anyone specifically, but situations like this could easily be avoided if people bothered reading through threads to see what was going on. Don't just assume after 3-4 pages all the posts will be of a similar fashion.
I'm not angry at anyone in particular, but yeah sucks the thread didn't go longer than 1 page before the joke got ruined.
Look for<span style='color:red'> hell monkies </span>in the trees!
Edit: Ohh, I see what I did wrong.
1) I was looking at the tree tops, and the tree branches, etc.
2) I was looking at the original ><
