Incorrect Footstep Sound: Halflife.wad Texture

One room on my map has a halflife.wad texture applied to the floor. The problem is the footsteps don't sound correct when I walk across it. How do I correct this?

You can copy the texture and paste it into a custom wad with a different name.
The materials.txt method isn't recommended, it will only lead to problems.
