<!--QuoteBegin-Thansal's Guide on how to friken install NSv3.0B4a+--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Thansal's Guide on how to friken install NSv3.0B4a)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->1) Install Steam.
2) Play HL atleast Once via Steam (just booting up the training mission will do).
3) Download these 3 files:
ns_install_v3_b1.exe
ns_v30_b4_patch.exe
ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe
4) Install NS V3.0 Beta 1 (ns_install_v3_b1.exe) (This should auto install to steam\steamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp, if it does not, move the NSP folder there).
5) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4 (ns_v30_b4_patch.exe) (point this at steam\steamApps\your@email\Half-Life\ do NOT include the NSP).
6) Install NS V3.0 Beta 4a (ns_v30_b4a_patch.exe) (See * at bottom).
7) Search your Hard drive(s) for folders named nsp.
8) If you have more than one you messed up. Goto Step 3.
If you folow these steps properly you will not get client.dll or map.bsp errors.
If you are positive you have folowed them corectly then redownload the installer form a different location.
*There aslo seems to be a bug with, atleast some of, the 4a installers. Try pointing it at steamApps\your@email\ instead of steamApps\your@email\half-life
Note: This is a file stored on my desktop because I have to use it so many times.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
<b> Slightly More Advanced Steps</b>
<!--c1--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->1) Search your Hard drive for ns and nsp.
2) Deleate all folders named that.
3) Start from step 3 in my guide.
4) Make sure you are using the properly named files for each step, the file name is listed with the step.
5) Make sure you point each file at the place listed with the step
5a) The first one should auto install with no choice of destination
5b) The second one goes to: Steam\SteamApps\your@email\Half-Life
5c) The 3rd should probably go to Steam\SteamApps\your@email\
6) After each install step in my guide (steps 4, 5 and 6) search your hard drive for nsp
6a) If you find only one folder, and it is located at Steam\SteamApps\your@email\half-life\nsp then you are good to go.
6b) If you have only one nsp but it is some where else, move it to that location.
6c) If you have 2 nsp folders, then move the one that is not in that location, over writing all files when prompted.
6d) Each time you move an nsp folder search your hard drive again for nsp to double check.
Here ends my Slightly more advanced Guide on how to friken install NSv3.0B4a
It is now becoming another file on my desktop.<!--c2--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
The directions are now on the download page (and are much simpler as they are not running a public beta any more):

If you are having actual problems, please start a new topic and describe exactly what your problems are (does not work, is not an explanation of a problem, give error messages, descriptions of what happens, etc etc etc)
Any map that was changed between version <i>X</i> and version <i>Y</i> is going to exhibit this behavior since we don't change the name of the maps between releases. If you are sure you have the right version of NS installed then my recommendation would be to go into your "...\steam\steamapps\<account>\half-life\ns\maps\" folder and delete the ".bsp" file of any map that exhibits this problem.
As long as you allow your client to download files from the server (cl_allowdownload 1) you will automatically download the map from the server the next time you connect and this problem should go away.
It is also possible that the server you are playing on has some corrupt files and that is why you are getting this message.
But I digress, please follow Thansal's advice, and if you are still having problems feel free to start a new topic in this forum.
