What game? Some cards with messed up drivers don't render the features, when I upgraded my 9800 pro to cats 4.7 after having omega drivers I couldn't use alot of features until I upgraded to the 4.7 imitating version of omega drivers.
You just now noticed somethings wrong with you, communist? By the gods, I knew when I first met you, the moment "let me touch you" slipped out of your lips in that fateful vent on orgin on that fateful day.
I mean, I read threads with talesin discussing minute problems and compares them and to him the flaws are so obvious. Maybe having an nvidia card so long has scarred me. (T-minus 4 days till radeon goodness) <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

My current card is a GF4400ti. My previous one was a GF2 GTS. I've fiddled around with the AA settings on both cards and never noticed any change in the graphics of the games I tried. I did notice a performance drop, though, so something must've been going on. Personally, I do think that high res > AA any day of the week.

Depends on the game I think, I have seen a huge difference in morrowind but not much other games <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Better to not notice something, than to notice it glaringly, eh?
AA should make some difference. It'll get better as the developers get better at making games <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

If your screen doesn't look like the second screenshot, aa and af are not, in fact, turned on.
Also notice the jaggies on the colument to the left of the "WTH!" text. They're gone in the second screenshot (that's the AA, the AF is what gets rid of the texture-blurring).

I prefer 1280x960 or even 1024x768 AAoff to 800x600 or (in the worst case) 640x480 AAon.
Aye, if you can't see the very incredibly obvious jaggies when AA isn't enabled, then you're probably running at a low enough resolution that EVERYTHING is jagged.

AA filtering will only be visible at resolutions of 800x600 or higher I think, the higher the better, and from AA 4x you will start to notice it clearly.

Long Answer: .......................... Yes
AF though does make a difference when you go from none to 8X. Haven't tried anything in between.
Might be because of high res, when you're in a high res you really don't notice any AA or AF....
Try cranking those settings up to teh max!
