Redeon 9200 SE or Gforce fx 5600 ultra?
I've been reading that basically all fx series cards below the 57xx are not quite up to snuff, I currently have a 5600 ultra and my Local Staples finally got some newer cards (still has a redeon 7000 ) and they happen to have a 9200 SE 9I believe 128 mb) for $109 (cdn). I've never had a redeon card before and I am contemptaling getting it but is it worth it or should I still with my 5600 ultra?

You could check for graphics cards benchmarks on the net, to see how each of those two perform.

As a quick reference, see http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/index.html

IMHO, save the $ and get a 9800 instead since the performance between 5600U and 9200 doesn't differ by much.

    9200 < 5600
    DX 8 < DX 9

I have the radeon 9200. It's not a bad card...I can play all the latest games at least

Um FX cards really blow hard but compared to an older ATI card like the 9200 the Nvidia card might come out as the winner in that situation. But you should just save money for the 9800, works great on HL2 and that 9200 won't work nearly as well for it.

Save your money man.. I think you should just save for a 9800 PRO and SE.
