Marine flashlight not working. ..

Hey.

I was learning maps on a LAN game by myself, and nothing happens when I press the button for the Flashlight. I tried binding it to different keys, still, nothing happens.

Can it only be used at certain times or something?
I know in at least one map that the lights in the Marine base can go down, but I'm not sure if that triggers the Flashlight ability.

Any ideas?

I noticed this too, but only when playing on other people's servers. Flashlight use is a server option. It could very well that flashlights are disabled in your advanced server options. Did you check this?

Got it fixed now. .. Flashlights <i>were</i> enabled, so I disabled them, and then re-enabled them. .. Seems to work fine now.

I just wish they could remove that glow around your player (wich is not visible to yourself) when using the flashlight.

Yea, it would be nice, but unfortunatly its a HL engine bug (I think) and there is nothing the NS team can do about it.
