<div class="IPBDescription">This is different.</div> I was just wondering if there was a way to enable the installation of software that was not meant for Windows XP. FYI - The software is for my old digi cam.

Any help would be nice.

Not sure about that but have you checked the manufacturers website to see if they have an updated version for XP?

What happens when you try to install it? I didn't think there could be problems with the installation. I was able to install Doom 1 just fine (originally run on Windows 95). So, is there more information you can give us?

Are you installing from a CD?

Yes. My software was originally meant to run on 95/98/ME.

When I try to install it says something along the lines of "Your Operating System is not supported."

Try to find an Xp or 2K compatible driver. You probably won't be able to make use of the 9x base drivers anyway, even if you could install them.

First, put your CD in the drive. Then close any program/window it starts up. Then go to:
Start --> All Programs --> Acessories --> Program Compatability Wizard

That will give you some step-by step instructions on running an earlier CD.
