<div class="IPBDescription">Aliens need to learn skills</div>You might remeber I posted a thread about giving marines time to learn how to work as a team and they might get stomped the first couple days. After getting fumed last night over getting my alien ### kicked all over the place I have come to the conclusion that I should take my own advice (just its the aliens that need time)

Aliens weakness comes from two problems that should remedy themselves in short order:
- Lag,aliens do not have hitscan weapons and connecting a melee sttack with a lagging marine is hard to do, this should be fixed by the upcoming server patch
- Skill, The aliens attacks require alot of tactics and skill, these have yet to be developed and I think will need a few days at least until alien tactics are learned (like for example using umbra to protect fades attacking turrets. Other things might include blinking (which seems useless but I'll give it some more practice before I conclude on that) and attacking while flying

On that note.. does blink actually work? It didnt when I tried, but maybe I was doing it wrong.. couldnt find any mention of how to do it in the manual.. is there a trick to it?

Blink works, but It takes kind of a trick to get it to work ever time. Jump, and then crouch and then hit blink..man, it has to scare the pooh out of them. you can close the gap FAST.

Blink works, but it's fussy.  You have to aim a little higher, sometimes just at the right spot, at your target destination.  It can really depend a lot on map elements too (eg: ceiling height, protrusions, etc.).  It's best used in wide open spaces.
