If you read it fully you'll notice that PlanetHalfLife doesn't actually give you a release date.
I know because I posted the article. I was simply clearing up the fact that
the release date is still unconfirmed due to the vast amounts of emails we
get through from people who want / claim to have the "real date."

September doesn't seem unreasonable because people already have the game preloaded.

Would they really make them wait an extra 3 months with unuseable data on their computer ?

Well lets see, Condition Zero preloaded what, a month before official release? I think we will see it around X-mas in all honesty. That would be their best bet, from a economics standpoint.

The whole game isn't preloaded, just the parts that won't change between now and release. Textures and things like that.
