Because we really need one
And now the moment that some of you might possibly have been waiting for, I'm now ready to unveil the first eight parts of my guide to Natural Selection Particle Systems.

Natural Selection Particle System Guide

If any of the information is factually incorrect, please let me know. If there's anything difficult to understand, please let me know.

And if you beg me, I might be able to get out some particle system applications soon.

This is great Greedo! I'm sure it will help many people who are having trouble with the particle systems.

Thanks for your time and effort put into this.

Well, terrawatt, there's nothing in here that can really be shown in a picture. There will be pictures when I start showing off some cool effects (if I ever get to that part).

And if you're too lazy to read it all, then, well, that's up to you.

Would you mind if I linked to that from the Quickstart Guide? And maybe from NS World itself. Your tutorial would compliment Jacius's earlier contribution wonderfully.

I have no problems with you linking to this guide. It's for all mappers who need some particle system help.

Thats very useful, however for the sphere velocity shape the fourth and fifth param change the radius (or dimeter) or the sphere 4th = x and 5th = y..im not 100% on this coz its hard to tell, but that'd make sense to me.

Hey thanks UnCritical. I was able to "figure out" the sphere velocity based on what you just said, and I think I've got it right. It's been updated on the site.
