The shotgun crosshair comes in both centered and offset flavors. Additionally for the 1024 set you can have center or offset with a glow around the circle (as shown in the preview), personally I like the glow but knowing others may not I packaged the glowing ones seperatly. These are unavailable in larger versions do to maximum sprite size limits.

Unzip only the contents of the folder(s) of your choosing (never the folder itself) to nsp/sprites.

    The pistol should be a dot? There is no spread. And the shotgun spread is predefined might as well use the sprite thats been floating around that gives correct alignment of dots.

    The pistol does have that much spread, (checked with bloodsplats not just decals).

    I wasn't going to make a set of crosshairs and leave one out because there was already a more usefull shotgun one around, and infact I have offset shotgun crosshairs included which I mentioned in the first post <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    They were not intended to be impressive, they are to be simple and functional. I had been planning on making accurate crosshairs for myself to use but never got around to it untill I saw that someone else was interested it them.

    After playing with them for a few rounds I have found them to be a tad too transparent, so tomorrow I'll be brightening them up a bit, though it seems no one so far will care...

    I'll be waiting Boojum for the brightening. And remember: Give each one a 1 pixel size dot in the very center.

    For the sake of accuracy, it should be a 2x2 pixel square in the center. A single pixel won't (can't) be centered.

    ABS, looking nice. Although if the blur around the shotgun spread shows the actual spread, it might be rather silly to use. I'm assuming the shotty spread is accurate to the up-and-right shift that the bullets have? And yeah, definitely need a bright and obvious dot at the center of them. The problem I have with standard TSA blue xhairs is that they tend to vanish into the walls of a lot of maps, and using them on ns_ayumi is just crazy.

    I have to disagree sir. Afaik the shotgun spread is randomized in the next version, and makes that sprite useless.

    I seriously hope they randomize it...it needs to be randomized along with the rest of the weaponry badly.

    Boojum made these for me, I figured he wouldn't mind. These are the 1024x768 versions with dots in the middle, and are absolutely PERFECT.

    Thought I'd bump this because these crosshairs are the business and also I edited the pistol one & removed the diamond shape around it as I found it a bit too obscuring (and frankly unnessecary clutter)
    the pistol sprite & weapon_pistol.txt are in the zip archive attacked to this post just unpack them to your /ns/sprites/ folder.
    I recommend using these in conjunction with Shazbot's alien crosshairs.
