<div class="IPBDescription">Need A bit more info on this</div> I'm currently making my MarineStart. I understand that in the ready room you need 32 PlayerStarts (PS) at least 128 units apart in all directions. Is this still the case for the Hive locations and MarineStart? If not is there a smaller (hopefully) minimum distance requirement between PSs?
In addition to this I was wondering what happens when buildings are made inside of a PS. Do I need to raise my PSs to a suitable height so players drop onto buildings, or does NS have a system moving a Player to the nearest unbuilt space or unobstructed PS in the case of a Distress Beacon?

But for the marine spawns you could also go for a bit smaller spacing, since the 128 units are a guidline for the check for an onos.
As for the hive spawns you can set a spawn distance at the team_hive which determines which spawn points are used for that hive.
The used spawnpoints are selected randomly (not 100% sure about that), then the engine checks if there is enugh space for the player to spawn there (to prevent spawning inside structures or players on spawn/distress/redemption), and if not, it selects the next spawnpoint in line and checks there. But don't ask me what happens when all spawns are blocked <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
However, a good distance and amount of the spawns in the readyroom is required, otherwise you might not get back to the readyroom on round end, and keep staying in the level.
Thanks for the info on the marine spawns tho I didn't think about the limitation being based on the Onos player model. I may start some marines outside MS depending on whether it will greatly effect the time it takes them to get to the RTs/Hives...
