Look, I have mine at 1280:1240 or whatever and it doesn't bother me either, but anyone can just go "LOL I HAF TEH BIG RESOLUTION SO ITS NOT A PROBLEM GO AWAY" and it won't help those who do have a problem one bit.
Why are dynamic lights in the options? Because so those who have trouble with it can disable it and be rid of the trouble. Yet not everyone has trouble with the dynamic lights. Some do. So the devs were nice and put in an option.
