I Love It..
Gotta say, I love NS. Been playing for a little while now and was starting to think about giving a little back and learning something in the process. Now, I would love to start doing a few maps and stuff (I know maybe this should be in the maps forum, but it says no n00bs!)
*ahem* , anyway I know all about Hammer and worldcraft etc, but I would just like to ask what the best programs to use for creating these worlds, like do people prefer photoshop to do the textures? I really don't wanna use MS paint? What are the other options available? Any funky free ones available?
I really wanna start making some fun stuff, even if it's just a burst pipe or something, but I just don't know where to start really!
Help!

Cheers. Little bit miffed tho, as the BC file does the "this page cannot be found" bah.
Seems a real good community on the forums for this game, but when I play public I keep getting mic spammed.

Press and hold TAB, and left mouse button click the speaker icon next to their Latency...

..like this, and your ears will thank you ^__^ ,
Anyway, we're all pretty welcoming in the mapping forums, and there's already a good couple hundred textures already made for nsmapping. Ns.wad and ns2.wad in your /nsp folder.
All you have to do is put em together. Read up on some of the tutorials for NS mapping in the FAQ in that forum.
